Raised in New Canaan, CT, just 45 miles outside of New York City, Kate’s passion for theatre started at an early age. After spending two summers at Stagedoor Manor and performing throughout Connecticut, Kate attended Syracuse University where she majored in Musical Theatre. While in Syracuse Kate played the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, and Ensemble/choreographer in The Fever. Kate also had the privilege of originating four roles in new works: Little Women, BJ! The Musical, Sugarglass and Simpatico while still in school.

From January to May 2009 Kate spent her final college semester in New York City where she participated in Syracuse University’s Tepper Semester for Careers in Theatre. There she studied with Daisy Prince, Tom Kitt, James Calleri, Andra Reeve and Louis Collaianni.

Quickly after graduating Kate became a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional stage actors. Since then Kate has been seen in various concerts and performances around Manhattan including BJ: A Musical Romp (nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress, Planet Connections Festivity), and Wheatley’s Folly (now titled, And The Curtain Rises)- a workshop with Arlington’s Signature Theatre, directed by Eric Schaeffer.

Regionally Kate has been seen in Camelot (Sacramento Music Circus, directed by Glenn Casale), You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy), Big River (Mary Jane), Peter Pan (Wendy) Camelot and The Music Man, all with Summer Theatre of New Canaan.

When not on the stage, Kate has worked as a production assistant, intern and marketing assistant on Lombardi (Broadway), The 2010 and 2011 Golden Globe Awards and The Labyrinth Theatre Co.

Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, baking, traveling, and teaching.
